Christie Cook
General Manager
The start of the 2010 season marks Christie Cooks seventh season with the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz and her ninth year in professional sports. In 2004, Cook joined the Yard Dawgz as the Director of Game Day Operations in charge of all game day related activities. In 2005, she was promoted to Assistant General Manager and in November of 2006, Cook was promoted to the role of General Manager of the Oklahoma City franchise. While with the Yard Dawgz, Cook's responsibilities have included developing and implementing all game day activities, creating and soliciting corporate partnership opportunities, and coordinating media buys.
Prior to joining the Yard Dawgz, Cook was a member of the Oklahoma Wranglers of the Arena Football League. In 2000, she worked asa marketing and promotions intern and game day operations assistant. In 2001, Cook was promoted to Director of Floor Operations for the Wranglers. Cook began her sports career at the University of Oklahoma working in the athletic department as a student athletic trainer for both football and women's basketball.
Cook attended the University of Oklahoma where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health & Sport Sciences in 1999 and her Master of Science in Sports Management in 2002.
Cook has a strong reputation as a leader and innovator in the field ofgame operations. She has helped to serve as a liaison for the All College Basketball Tournament and NBA exhibition games. Cook also spent the 2004-05 hockey season as Producer for all home games for the Oklahoma City Blazers. In 2006, Cook served as the Director of Game Day Operations for the University of Central Oklahoma Athletic Department(football). Dedicated to community growth, Cook is serving her third term on the Bricktown Association Board of Directors.
