Professional Experience:  In 2008, Shaw totaled 46.5 tackles, had 2 interceptions and gathered in 3 fumble recoveries.  He also had 62 yards receiving, 1 touchdown and a blocked kick.  Shaw is best known for his catch during the 2008 season against the Tulsa Talons in which he caught the ball after it ricocheted off the net and into his hands.  This play was featured on ESPN’s Sportscenter Top 10 Plays of the Day.

In 2009, Fred Shaw continued to be a fan favorite and a team leader.  In a stellar Week 11 performance, against the Milwaukee Iron, Shaw had 4 tackles, 3 interceptions, 3 pass deflections, and was named the Defensive Player of the Game.  He went on to set the Yard Dawgz season record for interceptions (9) and career interceptions with (12).

College Experience:  In 2004, Shaw earned the Lone Star Conference North Division Player of the Week honors and finished second on his team in tackles with 68.  He had a team high 31 unassisted stops, 4 interceptions and 6 pass break ups.
